HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE

The entire procedure usually takes anywhere between 5 to 10 minutes including the waiting time for the numbing from the anaesthesia. 

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER CIRCUMCISION

Circumcision is an easy procedure with no complications most of the time however you should expect the following. swelling, redness, potential bleeding and infection. this is very normal and all the above will heal in a short period usually anywhere between a week to 10 days. all you have to do is ensure a high level of hygiene and follow the aftercare steps that will be explained to you before the procedure.

HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY PERIOD

The recovery period for babies is usually between one week to 10 days and for adults it can take anywhere between 10 days up to 2 weeks.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS OF CIRCUMCISION 

Circumcision does not have any risks however the most common side effects are bleeding, infection and swelling.

The skin of the penis is also quite sensitive after circumcision. Sometimes the area can get irritated from contact with the baby's nappy. The babies will also feel a burning sensation when urinating.
